Laura was classically trained in piano and studied with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music teachingfor 14 years before starting her own teaching business in the UK. She has been a piano and vocal music teacher for over 10 years teaching all ages from 4 to 92. She taught at Green Broom Music Academy in Santa Monica for 4 years before branching off to run her own Music Teaching Business ‘Music with Laura’ where she teaches over 30 students privately per week and her clientele continues to grow. She has an enormous amount of energy and great enthusiasm for music with a wonderful rapport with kids and adults alike. She is known to be encouraging, fun and yet firm with her instruction. She has kept an healthy
average of 30 + students/week for the past 10 years and enjoys giving back to the local community with her gift and passion for music.
As for performing live, Laura is endorsed by Roland Keyboards for their Lucina Keytar and is hired out to play in several bands across the US including Las Vegas’s Jimmy Hopper show as well as Gretchen Bonaduce’s The Fatal 80s and has played along side such bands as Flock of Seagulls, Bow Wow Wow and the Motels to name but a few as well as been hired as headliner at Universal Studios for New Years Eve and 4th Of July concerts playing in front of over 20’000 people each time.
She performs solo as well as acoustically in groups in venues around Santa Monica and Los Angeles and has 4 singles out on iTunes with an album being released in 2015.
With hundreds of live performances under her belt and a constantly hired performer, Laura is able to share her knowledge with her students, prepare them for live performances and encourage them to be the best they can be. Not everyone will choose a career in music but everyone can enjoy the journey of learning.
